Paul Gaytán

Paul Gaytán is a 6th generation Texan, raised in Seguin, Texas, where he learned the value of hard work, integrity and to never give up. Paul earned a Doctor of Jurisprudence from The University of Texas School of Law in 1998, and he has been practicing law in Texas for 25 years.  Prior to law school, Paul graduated with high honors from Texas Lutheran College with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. He also attended the University of London where he studied Shakespeare and English Common Law.

Paul started his legal career working for a well-respected medical malpractice/personal injury defense firm in McAllen, where he became a named Partner and opened/managed the Corpus Christi office for the firm.  During his ten years at the firm, Paul was hired by insurance companies to defend their insureds in medical malpractice and personal injury lawsuits throughout South Texas, which included wrongful death, brain injury, and other catastrophic injury cases.

In 2008, Paul founded the Gaytán Law Firm to represent victims of personal injury, and clients in business, probate, and real estate disputes. He has successfully obtained multi-million dollar recoveries for his clients. Paul is an aggressive, experienced, and committed trial lawyer that fights hard for his clients no matter how big or small the case.

In addition to practicing law, Paul is the former Chair of South Texas College’s Paralegal Department, where he was an Instructor and taught the following legal courses: Civil Litigation, Torts, Business Organizations, Contracts, Estate Planning and Probate. Paul was regarded by his students for being able to teach difficult concepts in an easy to understand manner.

Paul is also dedicated to serving his hometown of Seguin, where he is the City Councilman for District 5, and a member of the Seguin Area Chamber of Commerce, Seguin Guadalupe County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, League of United Latin American Citizens, Rotary Club of Seguin, Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, and Guadalupe Chapter Texas Master Naturalists.
