During his ten years at the firm, Paul represented doctors and hospitals in complex medical malpractice cases throughout Texas.  He was also responsible for managing the Corpus Christi office for the firm.

In 2008, Paul founded the Gaytán Law Firm, primarily to represent victims of medical malpractice and personal injury.  He has successfully litigated hundreds of cases involving medical malpractice, personal injury, and business disputes. He is aggressive, experienced, and committed to getting the best results for every client.

Paul is also the former Chair of South Texas College's Paralegal Department where he was an Instructor and taught the following legal courses: Civil Litigation, Business Organizations, Torts, Family Law, Wills and Probate, and Real Property.

Paul is dedicated to serving his community and is a recognized member of the State Bar of Texas Pro Bono College and State Bar of Texas Care Campaign.  Paul volunteers for Texas Rural Rio Grande Legal Aid, Inc., where he serves as a pro bono attorney for the Hidalgo County Community Justice Divorce Clinic, Wills Clinic and Power of Attorney Clinic. These clinics provide free legal services to the poor and underserved.

In his spare time, Paul enjoys running, hiking, kayaking, trail biking, and camping with his family in State and National Parks. He also runs marathons.
